I want to take my wonderful boyfriend to watch the Braves play at Turner Field. He seriously deserves it!

One of my bests form high school, Jeselyn, lives in Edwards, Colorado. I really want to take a trip out. I've never seen that part of the country, but from pictures, it looks amazingly beautiful!

Today is a GREAT day!

Today, Jacob and I have been together for six months!! Now, I didn't think this was cause for great celebration, but like I mentioned before...Jacob has other plans. We're going to Chattanooga Saturday to the Tennessee Aquarium! I absolutely cannot wait!!

Anyways, these past six months have been my best yet! Honestly, Jacob does something every day to reaffirm my beliefs that he's the BEST thing. : ) I love him more and more every day!!

Mom and I are gonna try to make these this summer. Instead of hooks on some though, I think we'll install a picture frame.

I mean, isn't this leather knotted ring adorable?! And at only $17.50, it's definitely affordable. Oh, and did I mention that they come in a TON of colors?

The Bachelorette

Okay. So who watched the Bachelorette last night?!

A.) I think Ali's adorable! I was super excited when I found out she was the new bachelorette.
B.) I believe (by the looks from the previews) that this season is going to be FULL of drama.

Happy Monday!!

Well, my weekend was FANTASTIC!!

It started off with quite the bang. My waxing poetic ring finally came in!! Here's a look:

I've excitedly been wearing it ever since : ) Suprise Suprise!

After work on Friday, I travelled to Auburn for a weekend with Jacob. On Saturday we met up with Aimee & Tyler and road tripped to Columbus City, Georgia (it was only about a 35 minute drive). Aimee needed to find a store called, Starship. It was quite questionable, didn't have what she was looking for, AND we  had a weird encounter with what I am positive was  a man dressed as a woman. The boys were happy though. Georgia meant 40's. haha

That evening we watched Shrek Forever After and ate Cock of the Walk. Then we ended the night with a SUUUUPER long game of Never Have I Ever with the crew.

Sunday was a church morning and that evening, before I came back home, we had sushi with the crew. It was a fantastic weekend!!! : )

As a sidenote:

I bought 'Crazy Love.' It's a book that Haley suggested. I'm hoping it's grand.

Oh, and as another sidenote:

Jacob and I will have been together for half a year on Wednesday. This he reminded me of yesterday afternoon. Guess what my wonderful boyfriend is doing for me? He's taking me to Chattanooga on Saturday to the Aquarium and dinner :) Gosh!! He's the absolute BEST!!

Real Simple

A friend of mine, Kelley over at The Eclectic Owl, has recently turned me on to a fabulous website! Real Simple is a magazine that basically does just that...makes everyday activities really simple. I have fallen in love with their recipe selection, AND the fact that you can actually save the recipes you want to try!! Cool, right?

Now, I'll be the first to admit that I don't do much cooking (I'm not very good at it, actually.), but I want to try these out:

Gran

This photo was from 4th of July last year (what do ya make of the blonde hair?!).

So, I just spent the evening with my Gran. We'll call it a date night :) She's always ready to stay up late, gossip, fix a snack (I always chose apple slices or popcorn with seasoned salt!!), take a shopping trip, discuss what books we've read recently, or go thru old pictures or things that belonged to my Aunt Denise or grandfather (both passed away before I was even a twinkle in anyone's eye).

Tonight, Gran was engrossed in the Braves game. They were playing the Cubs, and even though the Braves were up by 4, Gran needed to stay glued to her room so we could at least HEAR the game. Bless her. haha We gossiped, read the latest Gleam and a recipe magazine she gets. She even offered me some dressing she had just made (never fear...ham was available as well, Gran just didn't offer THAT because she knows I won't come anywhere near the stuff!!). All in all it was a GREAT evening. We eventually started going thru some of my Granny's old jewelry. After finding my Granny's old 'princess ring' and realizing it fit, I decided I'd take a gander at Denise's old jewelry too. We found Denise's 'princess ring.' It was just a smaller version of Granny's.

Sadly, it wouldn't hardly fit any of my fingers :( It's nice to have a new, truly vintage, piece of jewelry with meaning to sport around now though.

All in all, it was a FANTASTIC evening. I love hanging with Gran. She's absolutely amazing. Did I mention earlier that she's the woman who ran over her own leg and lived to talk about it? Yep, that's my Gran!! haha She's always been there and I love her more than you could possibly dream up!!

Okay, so I know you probably all get tired of these silly things and wish for some REAL blogging, right? Well, the truth is, I do this as time fillers AND to see what other people put as their answer. I almost always copy these from a younger family member…think cousin or brother. They can be pretty informative sometimes (even though I don’t think they think about what they’re writing sometimes!!!). I’m very ready for this weekend…AHHH…let me stop rambling…you’ll probably hear all about that HERE:

~What did you spend money on in the past few days?

Let’s see…absolutely nothing besides gas. I LOVE not spending money. Even though it kills me not constantly shopping like I’m normally used to, it’s a great feeling to save : ) I suggest that everyone give it a try!



~How many hours did you sleep last night?

Blah…only about 5. I’ve been getting up early and going into work at 7 every a.m. to make up for taking off last Friday. I just can’t really fall asleep. I think it’s because I’m away from Jacob. I just sleep better when I’m with him. Period. End of story.


~Could you go a day without eating?

negative. I love food, unfortunately. I really want to take cooking lessons!!



~Do you smile at strangers?

I try to smile at everyone. I mean, come on. I obviously use enough emoticons to light the whole world with smiles! : )



~Have you had the best night of your life?

I really don’t know that that’s a good question. I mean, won’t you only know if you’ve had the best night of your life when your life is over? And then, I think that question is going to be the farthest thing from your mind.



~What’s the last movie you watched?

Avatar-It was only the second time I’ve seen it (the first time since Christmas night in theaters). I still love it. The characters are such a gorgeous shade of blue. And when you’re watching it, don’t you, if only for a second, wish you lived in Pandora? The glow in the dark forest is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL.

~Are you happy right now?

Yes, I’m content. I really wish it were already Friday though. I’m really looking forward to another weekend in Auburn.

They’re brown. When I was younger, they were super dark. As I’ve gotten older though, they’ve gotten a lot lighter. Sometimes, my eyes almost look green.

It shouldn’t be too terribly bad. I’ll work from 7 til 4:30, and then I think I’m going to go see Gran.

Jacob is probably still sleeping. He doesn’t have to work today, AND he starts school on Thursday morning for the summer. I’m sure he’s chillin’ out, max, and relaxin’ all cool. Not shootin’ bball outside of the school, though.

They’re for reading and have a very librarian look.



~Name something random in your room that you probably wouldn't find in any friends' room.

A big fat piggy bank. It’s absolutely adorable! Mom gave it to me for Christmas and said, ‘Here. This is for your wedding.’ When I shook it and realized it was empty, she informed me that I needed to start saving. haha

Let’s see. I’ll be in Auburn with Jacob. I definitely think we’ll probably hit up Panera for some lunch (I just tried their Greek salad this past weekend because they’re my drug of choice, and it was AMAZING!) and hanging with everyone, I’m sure.

Negative. She’s practically my little sister.

This girl LOVES a concert. Live music makes me feel alive.
