Sistas

Yesterday, my friend Katherine came up to Marshall County from Auburn (where she's in vet school). She's staying with Erica for the weekend, so after I got off work we headed to The Rock House Eatery for dinner and to catch up.

I only took two pictures of the evening. The one above doesn't do justice to the meal we had last night. It was delicious! We got a bottle of Le Drunk Rooster Chardonnay (yes, we chose that selection of wine purely for its name!) and split it three ways. I had the Pasta Susanna which is fettucini noodles, sundried tomatoes, and scallions in a warm creamy wine sauce. It was perfection. Seriously. After catching up at dinner, we headed to Guntersville's new ice cream shoppe, Clevenger's Creamery. It was divine. The Clevenger's make all the ice cream themselves! My vanilla bean was surely the best I've ever had.

After our tummies were stuffed we headed back to Erica's. I unfortunately had to come to work this morning, so I didn't get to sleepover. In true sleepover fashion though, Kat decided to try a fishtail braid on my hair. We were all pleased with the results. I mean, it was her very first try. Awesome, right?!

Last night was a GREAT night! I am really looking forward to hanging with Jake and Anna tonight (they live in Georgia), and then the whole crew at the Roeder's for New Years Eve!

Jacob's birthday is New Years Day...so I am sure posting will be quite scarce this weekend!

Happy New Year!!

Wednesday via Instagram

My morning drive always proves to be gorgeous.

I made these for my mommy for Christmas. Super easy...and she loved them!

It was just another looooong, SLOW day at work.

Jacob got me this necklace for Christmas!! He's such a sweet boy :)

Tortora's spinach and feta pizza was on the menu for dinner last night.

Mine and Jacob's night was spent playing on our kindle fires and watching Sons of Anarchy.
(Please excuse his messy room.)

Just another glimpse of dinner...Jacob spent it catching up with Ben. No worries, I ate while reading The Hunger Games! :)

Tuning in on Tuesday

Because today is actually the 'Tuesday' of my work week (and let's face it, I forgot to post it yesterday...), I am going to do the Tuning in on Tuesday post today.

I can't get this song out of my head.

Everyone loves Needtobreathe, right?

In honor of the upcoming NEW YEAR, I've added a couple of blogs to my 'People You Should Follow.'

So, check it.

I mean, who doesn't love a good blog?
Really?

They keep me busy at work (Wait...that didn't sound right. Let's try again. haha)

They keep me busy when I have finished all of my actual WORK at work.

Whatev...you get the picture.

Check em.

Christmas Glimpse

Everyone knows that Christmas is always about looking thru old photos...right? haha At least that's what we do when Haley, Sabrina, and I get together on Christmas Day. We had a fun time reminiscing. (How funny is it that our Mawmaw ALWAYS bought us matching outfits?!)

This is technically a day after Christmas shot (made with Instagram...my new favorite obsession). I am always sad to see the tree go.

What you see above is Gran's famous tsunami cake. Take my word for it...delish.

We're so lucky to be getting a tech savvy man in the family :)

That's my Gran. I think she's the bomb.com (even if I am not her favorite grandchild! haha)

This Christmas I became obsessed with:
my kindle fire
my iPhone
Instagram
Maahjohng
The Hunger Games
and
microwaveable stuffed animals that keep you warm

Tuning in on Tuesday

This is by far my most favorite Christmas song ever!!

Like, it's on repeat in my car right now...

On my mind...

  • That's where I wanna be right now...in a field of lavendar...taking pictures.
  • Although, it'd probably soothe my senses so much that it would relax me into a deep sleep.
  • That sounds pretty good right about now.
  • I love Christmas just as much as the next person, but it's such a BUSY time of the year.
  • Christmas will straight up wear you out.
  • And you wanna know what makes me sad?
  • Most people miss the whole reason for Christmas.
  • A tiny baby was born in a manger. Can you even imagine what it was like for Joseph? Knowing he'd get to be the earthly father to the Son of God? I mean, AMAZING!!
  • I think an old Christmas carol gets the point across best..."God rest ye merry gentlemen. Let nothing you dismay. Remeber Christ our Savior was born on Christmas Day...TO SAVE OUR SOULS FROM SATAN'S POWER WHEN WE HAVE GONE ASTRAY..."
  • Ooosh...it gives me shivers to think about God becoming flesh to save me from my sinful nature.
  • Remember that this Christmas.
  • Okay?
  • I didn't mean for this to turn into a one pointed post...but it happened.
  • So shoot me :)

Tuning in on Tuesday

It's a TSwizzle kinda day for me.

Also, I know that I'm being a HORRIBLE blogger right now.

I promise to be better.

Promise.
