Rainy Days Should Equal Relaxation

  • Right? They should be relaxing shouldn't they? I can picture myself sitting in a window seat, reading a book, looking out the window at this scene.
  • I have two written finals that I REALLY need to get started on get finished. They're due Friday.
  • I'm hoping that I can squeeze in a Girl's Night this holiday season.
  • It's hard to find a free night with 40 hours of work and 19 hours of school.
  • Thank goodness graduation is on the 18th!! :)
  • I want to have at least a dinner for graduation.
  • I don't know if we'll do anything at all to celebrate though.
  • Jacob's Granny's Christmas cantata is that night.
  • Speaking of Christmas, I really can't wait.
  • I wrapped four presents today!
  • Did I mention that I love wrapping presents?
  • I've got to see about sending one of my textbooks back. I RENT them from Chegg.com.
  • That's right, I rent them. It's quite nice. Not to mention cheap.
  • Tonight's a gLee night which really gets me excited!!
  • Umm...I love Cam Newton and the Auburn Tigers. Have I said that before?

What I Ate Monday, November 29
6:45 am- Coca Cola Classic
11:15 am- Coca Cola Classic, sandwhich (2 slices of bread, mustard, salt, 2 slices of provolone cheese, 1 slice of Cajun turkey)
5:30 pm- water, slice of bread with butter, veggies and dip (cold carrots, celery, and broccoli), spaghetti

I think I did pretty well yesterday. I only had TWO soft drinks, AND I got some veggies in my system. This exercise is helping!!

29 November 2010

  • Today has been a very LONG day.
  • It's raining outside.
  • I am glad that the Beatles are finally on iTunes, but frankly, I'm tired of hearing about it. I mean, I saw a huge cutout of them at the Apple store on Saturday evening and about jumped out of my shoes.
  • Christmas is my favorite time of year.
  • I've already got Point of Grace's 'A Christmas Story' on repeat on the iPod.
  • Except for when I'm listening to Taylor Swift's 'Haunted' on repeat. I'm obsessed.
  • I really want a good camera for Christmas.
  • I'm talking one with pop-out lenses.
  • I'm currently taking advantage of Cyber Monday and searching for one.
  • I've had a Forever21 shopping bag for like 3 months now. Is that bad? I think I use it as retail therapy without actually buying something.
  • Did I mention that I'm B-R-O-K-E? Because I am.
  • I'm not getting off here and going to Jacob's to read and listen to the rain. And eat something yummy from Granny : ) That's always the best part!!
What I Ate Sunday, November 28
8:00 am- Coca Cola Classic
11:35 am- Coca Cola Classic, rice with butter and Greek seasoning
4:16 pm- 2 Mt. Dews, 2 bowls of Gran's taco soup
7:00 pm- Coca Cola Classic

I mean, seriously, how many sodas can a girl drink in a day?! I've got to cut back. This is getting a bit extreme. Especially considering I don't really eat THAT much, right?

28 November 2010

6:00 pm- *Jacob and I went to eat at El Olmeca with Aimee and Tyler* water with lemon, chips and salsa, cheese dip, cheese quesadilla, rice

Too School for Cool

  • First, I got woken up waaaaaaay too early on this Saturday morning. You always think, 'Yay! Thanksgiving! Two days off work means I get to sleep late.' Wrong. Very wrong. With all the festivities of Thanksgiving Day plus the Iron Bowl being the day after, you've gotta get up early to get ready. Then, Dad and Noah must have had a contest this morning to see who could yell the loudest. So dumb.
  • Speaking of the Iron Bowl, WAR DAMN EAGLE!! I'm so glad we pulled out a win over Alabama. And the photos circling the web today of Nick Saban are incredibly priceless.
  • I only have a little more Christmas shopping to do. Go me!
  • It's time to start listening to Christmas music in the car. I mean, Thanksgiving's over.
  • I'm currently waiting on my mother to get home with our tree. I love decorating watching her decorate the Christmas tree.
  • Jacob and I celebrated a year yesterday :)
  • He had to work (because it was Black Friday), and was therefore, extremely tired last night. We decided to do dinner at Carraba's and watch Disney's Oceans.
  • After having watched Disney's Oceans, we will never miss another DisneyNature Earth Day movie at the theaters. Oceans was absolutely incredible and would only have been moreso on the big screen.
  • Jacob and I realized last night that between Thanksgiving and the Iron Bowl, we'll never really get to celebrate our anniversary just the two of us. We'll always be spending those two days with family and friends. And that's okay with us. Who better to celebrate with?
  • If you haven't gone to see Love and Other Drugs, it's a must. Jake Gyllenhal is s-e-x-y. And the film is heartwarming. Trust me. There will be tears.
  • I kinda want to go see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 in IMAX. I just don't want to watch Dobby die again :(
  • I recently fanagled two friends into a date with each other. They both had a great time and exchanged numbers. I just hope they actually clicked. I sooooo want them to be happy in love.
  • I miss Lindsanity.
  • I've currently come obsessed with the Blackberry Curve in Violet. I want one. For Christmas.
  • Lots of things to accomplish today. Maybe I'll even wrap a few presents to put under the tree!!
  • Oh, and everyone should buy Pass the Pigs. Trust me. It's a game annnnnyone could enjoy. And it's only $9.99 at Target.

23 November 2010

I believe these are ALL I want for Christmas...

not the ring...just the shoes!

Now, I know Kate Middleton isn't asking my opinion, but....

People.com has got a few dress sketches that designers have presented to the future Mrs. Prince William for her wedding dress. I think she should definitely go with this Monique Lhuillier.

That's just if she's asking me.

Maybe this will help...

...me out. It may not benefit you at all. haha In fact, I'll just go ahead and state that you might want to just skip over these daily posts about food. I've decided to start using this blog, in part, as a food journal. I figure if I actually make myself document what I eat every day that I will eat a little better. Sounds like it might work, right?

No worries, I'll still do other posts too. This is NOT going to turn into a food journal blog only. Promise.

What I Ate Monday, November 22nd

6:45 am- Coca Cola Classic
9:00 am- handful of Baked Smoky Cheddar chips
11:15 am- sandwich (2 slices of toasted English bread, 1 slice of Cajun deli turkey, 2 slices of provolone cheese, mustard), handful of Baked Smoky Cheddar chips, Coca Cola Classic
3:00 pm- handful of shortbread cookies, Mellow Yellow
6:30 pm- *We had dinner at El Camino for Dee's birthday* chips and salsa, side of Mexican rice, cheese quesadilla, water with lemon

It really doesn't seem like I ate THAT much yesterday. I just think the problem lies in the fact that I had 3 soft drinks AND the only substantially healthy thing I ate was the sandwich. Bummer. Gotta work on that. Most def.

17 November 2010

In the spirit of the Royal Engagement (Come on, by now you have to know that Prince William and Kate Middleton are finally engaged. Unless you've been living under a rock.), I've found a new item to add to my Christmas Wishlist. No worries, I've already forwarded these websites on to my mother and father :)  The best part of this story?? All three of these are UNDER $100. Oh yeah, I'm keeping it classy and frugal.

Kate Middleton, eat your heart out.
$79.99 from Zales

$84.15 from Zales

$95 from Reeds

One of my favorite Canadians landed the title of People's 'Sexiest Man Alive' this year.

I swoon....

....and maybe drool. Just a little.

Hungry Hungry Hippo

My tastebuds are in OVERDRIVE this morning. Here's a few things I'm currently craving (and would gladly eat if someone brought a treat to me!):

butternut squash flatbread
double onion turket sandwich

rigatoni, roasted sausage, and broccoli

rigatoni, sweet potato, oregano, and parmesan

squash lasagna

All of these dishes are kind of putting me in the mood for Thanksgiving :)
A post to come soon...to that affect!
Promise.

Shh...

...this is totally what I'm getting my Mom and brother for Christmas :)

Okay, so maybe the gift will be a teensy bit for me too!! haha Aren't these kittens adorable?!
Now, here's to hoping that Dad actually lets them live inside.

16 November 2010

Just Another Manic...errr...Tuesday

It's raining...AGAIN today. This makes for a definitely slower day where the paperwork on my desk begins to run together even more than usual. I've got a lot of things on my mind...
  • I'm blessed daily through my relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Did you know that 'Nothing can seperate. Even if I ran away.'??? I'm talking about my aforementioned relationship with the G-O-D. : )
  • My coworker annoy me sometimes. There's this one who complains constantly about having a second GRANDchild (I'm not kidding.) while consistantly popping her bubblegum.
  • I don't like noises that people make when they're eating. Not cool.
  • Yesterday, I completed two assignments, took an exam, and wrote a paper. I felt super accomplished when I laid my head down on the pillow last night.
  • Too bad my back's been aching, and I couldn't get comfortable. I tossed and turned for quite a while before I fell asleep.
  • Tonight's a night with the boyfriend. I'm sure will eat with his grandparents and then watch gLee. It's our guilty pleasure.
  • Oh, and afterwards, I hope that we get to watch Slumdog Millionaire. He owns it. I've never seen it.
  • If you're looking for something 'magical' to read, you should definitely start Nora Robert's Bride Quartet Series. I'm reading the fourth book now, and it puts me in a fairytale land.
  • I am having a hard time Christmas shopping this year. No one will tell me what they want, except my little brother. He just wants money. How boring is that?
  • I can't believe Thanksgiving is NEXT week. It's one of my favorite days of the year. I don't know how Jacob and I are going to work out our family schedules that day, but we'll have to. Thanksgiving is the one year celebration of 'us.'
  • Speaking of that anniversary...we aren't doing gifts. Strange? I didn't think so. With Christmas being so close and then his birthday being New Year's Day, gifts were out of the question.
  • I'm in the process of booking a pet friendly cabin in Ellijay, Georgia for this birthday weekend. There will be a hot tub.
  • Know what I love? Sitting in a hot tub on a coooooold winter day.
  • Okay, I have to get to work now. I HAVE to. Hope the rain clears off a bit...it's just too stinking dreary.

What I'm Reading...

This is what I'm currently reading...
and this is what I hope to read as soon as I finish!!

It's 53 days until Christmas...

...and I've already started shopping. I've been looking online for gifts for the twenty-three people on my list for about 3 days now. It should come as no suprise that I've found a few things I'd like to have myself! Here's a taste:

I would also take any or ALL items on this page :)
Just so you know! ;)

02 November 2010

50 under $50

I got an email today from Lulus. They were just informing me that they have 50 items for under $50 in their online inventory. I decided to check them out. These are my FAVORITES (remember, Christmas is just around the corner!! haha):
Cause & Effect Red Dress $36
I love the waistline on this dress. It appears to be very forgiving.

Double Shot Grey Handbag $45
This bag's big enough to tote all my stuff (i.e. my current read AND my planner).

Fandangle Copper Sequin Mini Skirt $39
I swoon.

Hoot Are You? $10

I Pink I Can $43
I normally don't do pink, but this is sweet. Plain and simple.

Off the Fringe Jacket $43
To satisfy my inner Indian.

Studded Platform Stiletto Heel $36

Did you????

Please say yes! haha I'm praying for no run-offs. I'm so ready for all the campaigning to STOP. : )
I stumbled upon the most perfect blog today. You should go have a look-see.

01 November 2010

You were always on my mind...

...okay, maybe YOU weren't exactly. haha This is what's on my mind right now. I know, it's a random rumble jumble mumble of stuff...but it's helping me sort thru things : ) That's always a plus, right?
  • Wouldn't it be awesome if upon being hired for a position your employer asked for a GRAND TOTAL for all of your bills (things that HAD to be paid each month) and gave you that amount on top of your hourly wages every pay period?
  • I have been shopping on Forever21 today. I'm trying to suppress the urge to seriously shop for myself because Christmas is so close. This is my bag. Feel fry to buy me a treat! : )
  • I wish that I had more fingers so I could wear more rings at one time.
  • I just drank my last soft drink from work. I hope to begin the adventure of only drinking water at work from this point forward! Help keep me accountable.
  • I'm glad tomorrow is November 2nd and all the voting will be over. While I completely respect and deem it necessary for politicians to campaign, I'm tired of the commercials (why bash one another?) and the yard signs. They just make things messy.
  • I've got a HUGE crush on these pretties.
  • Fried eggs and waffles-That's what I'm craving for dinner tonight. Too bad my boyfriend isn't a blog reader or follower. Bummer.
  • School is finally beginning to settle a little. I've currently got an Advertising group project to finish. I also have to finish a Consumer Behavior project. After that, I'm pretty much home free until December 18th (that's when I graduate!!).
  • I made a list of people I have to buy for this Christmas. Know what the number came to?? Twenty-three
  • Blogs make me happy and really help to buffer out the boredom that a work day can cause.
  • I like the name Grover. For a baby, for a dog, for the fridge, or a coffee cup.

Happy Halloween

Okay, I've always absolutely HATED Halloween. I'm talkin' since I was a small small small child. I was absolutely afraid of everything (psh...I'm still pretty much afraid of everything). This Halloween was nice though. We grilled out, and moved the flat screen tv outside to sit around a fire pit (I'll have one of these at my house one day!!) and watch Auburn beat Ole Miss. It was a relaxing evening with no pressures of trying to come up with a Halloween costume that doesn't cover half your body.

I guess what I'm saying is, I enjoyed Halloween this year. It was NICE.
